Claimant says:
"On or about March 2016 my husband and I hired Jose Alfaro from Agu Pool Resurfacing to redo the floors of our porch and pool area. Jose had just got finished resurfacing our pool (Jose was working for another company) Jose told us that he knew how to do the floors so we hired him. When Jose was done with the floors they looked good so my husband paid him. ( I was not home at the time) later we called him and asked him to fix our pool pump he stated ok. When he came (my husband not home at this time) he told me that he need the money for the pool floors. So I gave him a check out of my check book. Come to find out he took money from me and my husband both. When Jose was confronted with this he stated that he charged us 3,340.00 for all the work. (it was two coats of pain) My husband and I would have never paid that kind of money for that. Also at this time the paint started peeling off and there were small holes in the pool deck as well. We all sat down and he stated that if we could prove that it was him that caused all the paint damage than he will come and fix it for free. I got the paint company out to the house and they wrote a report that Jose in fact did not prep anything correct. Jose was suppose to come back and fix everything. To this date we can not get a hold of him. He has blocked his home from us. We are not stuck with peeling paint and double payment. We have brought in other companies and it will take 4500.00 to fix what he has done."
