Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I am in full disagreement with the Howard Johnson Hotel 'surprised cancellation charged' which I only learned when I received the print out of the said reservation (Reservation or booking# 837247050) which I immediately disputed via Telephone and Emails. Initial phone call "initial cancellation attempt shortly after receipt of reservation print out" on Aug. 5, 2014 around 5PM and continually since as I was first advised that I can only arranged cancellation through the Booking.com which booked my reservation while I was able to get in touch with the Booking.com I was told by Booking.com that they have to arranged or negotiate and/or clearout with Howard Johnson Hotel, Victoria (address:310 George Rd. East, V8T 2W2 Victoria) my "cancellation request"...From thereon, I had sent out several "DISPUTE Emails" as I am not and can not agree to what the Booking.com and the Howard Johnson Hotel have been try to impose a stiff "CANCELLATION Fee" which had not been disclose nor been part of any reservation I had agreed. Clearly I was informed as well printed out that I can cancel and/or do any change anytime prior to the day before the reserved occupancy date. Thus, I started disputing from thereon and insisted {demanded that they show me proof of my consent or agreeing to that said "cancellation fee" reservation term.. I have documented my communication with both the 'Booking.com' as well, the 'Howard Johnson Hotel, Victoria..
Subject Booking # 837247 050 , booked through Booking.com Tel#1-888-850-3958 (not so easy contact or get-connected and I patiently repeatedly attempt to get-through) while the Howard Johnson Hotel Tel#[250]382-2151..To both businesses, my request for a fair & just cancellation has been 'futile'...And indeed, I learned from my credit card (Bank of America) that Howard Johnson Hotel, Victoria,BC already charged my credit card account $755.20 Aug. 5, 2014...Please help me facilitate a 'fair & just' resolution over this matter...I repeat, I was never inform 'prior to and during the process' of the reservation, reservation #837 247 050 reservation for 2 Howard Johnson Hotel rooms for the dates of Aug.22 to Aug. 25, 2014...I had not been notified, not informed and certainly had I known of such condition I would not had proceeded; thus, when I received and read, review the reservation print out, I immediately initiated 'cancellation of the reservation...As mentioned earlier, I have kept copies our the internet/Emails transmissions since the day of the reservation and receipt of reservation print out Aug. 5, 2014..Thank you so very much. God bless...V/R Roland Santos

Why would anybody ever deal with two reservation companies? Call the hotel directly and deal with them then also negotiate with you if you ever want to cancel. Another tip book on your Visa. And if you sites at booking.com read the fine print. You'll never win More...
