"On October 13, 2011, Mr. Lee made a purchase of a membership to a dating website called MeetLocals.com. He purchased a eighteen (18) month membership for $119.95 and a featured profile for $9.95 (which would cause his profile to be featured higher in member search results). At the outset, please be advised that all payment information is provided directly by members through a secure website to one of the company’s third party payment processors who are PCI and/or ACH certified, depending upon the nature of the transaction. The company never receives any website member’s payment information. After creating his account, also on October 13, 2011, Mr. Lee emailed from his ljason59@hotmail.com email address stating "I have been billed two times once at the regular price and once for a three day trial". A customer service agent responded in less than 2 hours stating Mr. Lee had not been billed for a "three day trial" and that instead he had purchased a membership (which he acknowledged purchasing in his email) and a featured profile. No response was received from Mr. Lee. If Mr. Lee has changed his mind about his membership, he can contact customer service to terminate his account and, given that he has been a member less than one month, request a refund. The company would proactively terminate and refund his account, but the brief prior correspondence the company has on file with Mr. Lee indicated he did make the purchase. Mr. Lee can contact customer service using the same email he used to previously contact support, support@meetlocals.com, or he may call the number he provided for the company's customer support, 877 753 9595. Although the company has received no correspondence from the Better Business Bureau or any “regulatory agency or watchdog organization” as indicated by Mr. Lee, any correspondence or inquiry will of course timely be satisfied by providing Mr. Lee’s purchase record (with the assistance of the applicable payment processor), a copy of Mr. Lee’s dating profile as well as his correspondence to the company. This response in no way alters or waives the company's Terms of Use as posted on MeetLocals.com"
