Claimant says:
"A man came to my home representing Gennaros Plumbing driving a van with their company name on it. I showed him where I had a water leak in my back yard on the side of my home.
He saw the spot and said it was a simple job and he would have to look in his van and see
if he had coppoer piping. He came back to me as I was being help on another matter by
Verizon technician. The Gennaros plumber told me that he had to go and get the piping from
one of their stores and how was I going to pay I told him by check and he asked if i had a
check card I told him yes, he said he could handle that even better. I gave him the card
and he charged $50.00 for the co-pay that I was to pay with my warranty company.
Twenty five minutes later and man called from Gennaros Plumbing saying that the driver
was not going to come back because it was outside and that they dont cover outside.
I told him that the man took my money and never even started the job, the man told
me that they were allowed that under my contract, but quite to the contrary my contract reads that the $50.00 is to be paid before completion, this job was never started, C5
of 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty Section. I called the phone number that I had made contact with them on and the lady that answered told me that the $50.00 was for him
just coming out. This is not what my contract states "Plumbing: Line 1 Leaks and Breaks to Water Piping, it does not mention anything about outside or inside. THIS MAN STOLE FROM ME WITH INTENT. BECAUSE HE WENT AND LOOKED AT THE SITE AND SAID HE COULD
FIX IT THE WOMAN WAS SO RUDE AND i TOLD HER THAT THEY WERE STEALING FROM PEOPLE. Please contact me within ten days to my complaint in writing. This company does
not deserve to be in business stealing from people."
