Claimant says:
"To solve my wifes "mid life crisis" we purchased a 2011 Mustang coupe. She travels as Occupational Therapist for a company out of Albuquerque serving schools in Magdalena, Alamo Navajo Reservation and Quemado.
She fractured the side wall of the right rear tire and went to get the spare tire. There she found a 12 volt air compressor but no spare tire. She called Ford Road Service and received very courteous, fast service and was informed the sales person did in fact notify her there was no spare tire Has the word gone completely nuts to put out a new car with no spare and assume an air compressor would suffice?
In this part of the country it is 125 miles between filling stations where you could have a tire repaired. Come late December or January my wife could have frozen to death trying to use the air compressor because traffic is SPARSE to say the least.
Ford wants $392.80 for a spare which I feel should have come with the car. Please, can you get me a spare tire which was always considered standard equipment in "the good old days"? Thanks a bunch, sincerely David P. Smith"
