Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"This complaint is in reference to First Premier Bank. I have a problem with them that I'm asking for someone to help me resolve. First of all I have a credit card with them with a credit limit of $700. I owe them a balance of $625.54, according to the statement that I received for November. They have the minimum payment charged to me for $44.00. They keep charging me what they want to charge me. They are charging me a flat service fee every month of $14.50. I feel this is wrong no other banks that I deal with does this. I have credit cards in the thousands and the minimum payment ranges from $20 - $25 a month that's the minimum fee. They are charging me a very high interest rate on the balance plus there is an annual fee. They keep fluctuating the minimum payment up and down. I called them up and told them to close this account. I spoke to someone said her name were Mary ID#13134. She closed it. Although, for some reason they wanted me to keep it open but, I closed it. These people are trying to make me pay a mortgage on a simple credit card. They are charging a lot of interest on this card and adding like, $10 - $12 to the principle. This is just highway robbery, and low down dirty wrong. There is no other way you can put it. Ok, I closed the account what they are going to do is,keep adding higher interest rates to that $625.54 until they get it out of control. They has no right to keep ripping people off like this. Somebody needs to look into this situation and stop them. They are trying to make a mortgage out of a small amount of money to keep people in debt with them and never pay them off. God know this is not right. Please somebody take this under consideration and help me resolve this issue before it gets too far out of hand. My advice to any one is too leave this bank alone because, they are ripping people off for their money. You don't have to take my word for it. Just try them and you will see it for yourself. My spouse once had an account with them back in the past and they was crooked with him the same way but, even a little worse. They gave out his personal information. He had to close his account with them too, because, they were ripping him off. Nobody wants to do business with crooked people. I honestly don't know how this bank stay in business. It's a disgrace to society. I never want to do business with them again. They are down right low down dirty people. Every time I get my monthly statements from them they keep raising the minimum payments to make me pay more money than what I should be paying them. I will not stop complaining on these people until I get some satisfaction because this is nothing but wrong either way you look at it. Thank you for your support in helping me resolve this issue. Sincerely, Jewel Evans."

  • All I am asking for is for someone to stop this bank from ripping people off for a small line of credit with them. Because this is just not right.

  • Again, I want to say that no other banks are doing the things that you are doing to customers by raising minimum payments up and down on a small amount of credit limit. You are trying to make a mortgage with a small amount of credit from a credit card. And I feel that this is wrong. Trying to keep people in debt with your bank are going to cause you a lot more problems. I think you need to fix this. Every credit card I have,I had to sign a contract and in those contracts that I signed did not say charge me anything they want to charge me. They don't move the minimum payments up and down so, you can charge higher interests on the balance. I have credit cards with a much higher credit limit that yours. And the minimum payments stands still. You are charging people all these fees and making the payments higher. No bank with a small amount of credit should be charging their customers almost $50 a month with a balance of $576 even up to my credit limit of $700, it shouldn't be that. This is totally, ridiculous.
