Message from Firestone Agricultural Tire: on 3-8-2009 Mr. Murray brought his vehicle to a Firestone store in Moline, Il. The store checked the alignment but did not find a bent frame condition. Mr. Murray went home to Chicago. After a phone conversation with me in March of 2009 I made arrangements with a local Firestone store to have the vehicle rechecked. It was found to have a bent frame. At that time I asked Mr. Murray to take the vehicle to a frame shop, secure an estimate of the repair needed and contact me. Nearly 1 year later 3-19-2010, Mr. Murray went to a frame shop and had repairs made, however I was not contacted by Mr. murray until late 2010, (December). I agreed to refund the cost to repair the frame and what he had paid us for an alignment, less what the frame shop had charged him for an alignment, $520.74. I declined the additional request for other steering and suspension parts needed reasoning that there is no definitive evidence that the bent frame had any bearing on the condition of the front end parts, and had the frame been repaired in a timely manner even that issue would have been mute. I respectfully again decline Mr. Murray's request for additional compensation.
