"FCCI is the liability insurance carrier for Air Now HVAC licensed contractor of Bradenton, Florida, and has other types insurances for USA & the world. In 1/2008 Air Now came to my Port Charlotte, Fl. home to inspect a light tan spot on my living room hvac ceiling grate & the tech IDed this spot by eyesight only, no lab involved, briefly went into the attic, & said my wife & I had to go to a hotel so he & his helper could start replacing all of the attic hvac ducts & we checked into a local hotel for 2/12 days as they worked. I checked with them by driving to my home daily & after 2/12 days they said new ducts installed & we could & did move back into our home, paid all Air Now's bill. They had cleaned the inside of our home. Soon afterwards my wife & I acquired new itchy rashes from necks to feet, Dermatogogist Dx : contact dermatitis, source ?, Rxed with soaps and creams, litlle help. Our regular HVAC contractor ProAIr came on routine inspection of a New TRANE hvac unit they had placed 11/2004, took off the metal ceiling hvac grates said no sealant had bee applied by Air Now, and applied mastic sealant to the distal parts of the ducts & the boxes to which the attach as my wife & I watched. He explained we had been breathing, eating, all loose dirt, mold, dead insect body residual, loose attic fiberglass, that had been pumped into our home because of no sealant placed by Air Now. Pure Air Controls, Inc. Of Clearwater, Fl., came ito our home 7/2009, tood wipe, air & other samples for bacteria, mold, fibergalss, etc., found excess fiberglass in the inside air, and an otside air showed mold not found in our home, could have been inside old, breaking down fiberglass bundle in our attic did forensics before and after all furniture and other items moved to a warehouse, cleaned & did remediation, of all house & garage after thick carpet removed and replaced by tile and wood floor. The same wipe and air sample were normal. FCCI & Air Now were aware Air Now techs had not placed any sealant when Air Now installed the new attic ducts, but have not offered to pay the 10s of thousands of $ we have spent to repair our home damages they caused, or for the sever advere health effects to my wife & I. After Air Now put in the new attic ducts I also acquired new onset modrate to severe chronic asthma, sinusitis, rhinitis, which I still suffer. Our rashes resolved soon after ProAir placed the mastic with normal slough of skin epidermis in which the micro slivers were imbedded. My asthma,, etc., is life time, has turned me from an athletic exercising man to almost house bound. I am 74 yrs., my wife 68 yrs. old. I am retired after 30 yrs. Federal service, & other private practice, research yrs., named One of Top Doctors in America by Comsumers Reseach Council of America, Washington, DC, 2002-2003.. My wife's & my savings have been almost depleted, and we have had to take out a new home loan to pay for the home & health expenses caused by bad training, installation, and inspection by Air Now & their staff. An honest company & their liability insurance, FCCI, should repay us for the our home & adverse health expenses and money to cover my expenses for rehab & medical expenses for my life time. Every person & company makes mistakes, FCCI is like Air Now's malppractice insurance is to doctors. For FCCI not to pay is criminal and payment should be mandatory, insisted upon by Federal, Florida, Insurance laws, and by Air Now & the public informed, and HVAC contractor hiring, inspection made public, as many other elderly, younger persons, including babies live in or visit Florida and the USA every year. Also, of a criminal act was done by FCCI whwn they sent me a letter by regular mail demanding my personal ID information including my personal Medicare data, Social Security number, and other data with threat of Medicare not paying for any medical bills, and other threats. I have never had any contact of any type, including my Medicare, with CCCI, & I wonder if this criminal attempt was the start of obtaining all my data as an M.D. so FCCI could use this data to bill fraud claims thru Medicare and other insurances.
