Claimant says:
"My wife's 2005 Nissan Altima suffered from a "no start". It was towed to Extreme Auto Repair and diagnosed. First they replaced the cam position sensor. Then the crank position sensor. After that the ECU (computer). The car STILL didn't start so they went ahead and replaced the fuel pump and screen. Now he says the car starts but won't stay on. He also said "someone" had cut some wires underneath the dash. Really? Needless to say I demanded the return of my wife's broken down Nissan after paying the tech $600. I removed the fuel pump myself and "behold"! the fuel pump assembly is the same one the car came with. It was corroded! They never changed it but charged me for it! I am now going to take the vehicle to a real professional and find out if the other services were performed but here I am, stuck out, no vehicle and short $600."

  • First, definitely get a second opinion from another repair company, to see if the repairs you were billed for were actually done. Also, you should see if they can also diagnose the issue with the "no start". Then, with this proof, while you have contacted the company through this medium, you should send them a certified letter indicated that you have filed this complaint, and also gotten another professional to take a look at the car. If they still seem to be not open to speaking to you about this, the Texas Small Claims Court division also suggests contacting the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint to see if they can assist without having to bring a case to court. However, the small claims fees for Dallas County are relatively low ($31) if the company does not respond to any of the above.
