Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I purchased a boat cover from this Company for $190.07 back in December of 2013. It was received by mid Dec. It has been on the boat since then in my front driveway at home. I went to remove it last week to do some work on the boat and it ripped from one side to the other. I went to add tape to the rip by grabbing the section next to the rip and it too--started to fall apart and rip. Basically the whole cover has deteriated to a useless bunch of material except around the edges. The cover is just over 6 months old and is useless as a boat cover.
I have gone to the Company and communicated with various folks finally getting to the Customer Service Representative (Candice Zenovic) after sending a complete package to her and sending the same via e-mail, they (her and her manager) came back with it --this problem is not covered by warranty--because it was due to standing water--no support system was purchased to help keep the water from puddling. First of all it was never mentioned once when I spent close to $200.00 for their cover and I'm sure that the warranty does not discuss it either. But any boater knows that you have to support a boat cover so they do not puddle in the low area's -which I did and told them. It was in my front driveway--saw it daily (very little rain this year anyway). If the cover was damaged by puddling it would be stained by that (the cover is WHITE) and there is no staining anywhere. The material is just falling apart due to bad product--and some sun. There was no Customer Service --because what they came back with was a 100% wrong analysis of their problem. I'm a 72 year old that works on boat for some extra $$ and this is not the kind of help that they should be doing. They are not listening to the problem and did nothing to understand what happened or they would not have come back with the "Support System" issue---none issue, just look at the material. These people are not standing behind their work or material and surely do not stand behind their warranty. I would like my money back or a new quality cover to replace this $200.00 piece of garbage..."
