Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"04/19/09 Purchased Kodak ESP5 All-in-One Printer
07/26/09 Printhead kit sent from Kodak
08/13/09 Refurbished ESP5 printer & printhead sent to
replace original printer bought 4/19/09
08/20/09 New ESP5 sent from Kodak to replace
refurbished printer.
01/22/10 New color cartridge sent-one that was purchased
was defective
09/28/10 received a new printhead from Kodak

Every time we replace an ink cartridge we use about 25% of the black ink just running the alignment tests, etc.

We have had many other problems with this printer that are not listed above, such as many paper jams and several sheets of paper coming through at the same time.

We have to use ONLY Kodak paper for printing photos. Other brands cause a paper jam.

The service advisers at Kodak have been kind and friendly but I need the printer for work and my daughter needs it for school. We have had considerable frustration and downtime with this printer. We asked Kodak for a full purchase refund so we could purchase a different brand printer (one that actually works) but were denied. Now our warranty has expired and we don't know what to expect in a few months when the printer once again stops printing.

I believe Kodak was wrong to offer the ESP5 printer to the public before all the bugs, etc. were worked out. They now need to take their loses and do what is right. This printer (if it hasn't been already) should be taken off the market and not be replaced until they have one that actually works.
