Claimant says:
"Spoke with Francis (561-464-2769) on 05/21/2023 regarding moving me from Michigan to Texas, he told me $1,100.00 would be my deposit and $1,200.00 at pick up and $1,200.00 at delivery. Told him I would call him back the next day. Called him back on 05/22/2023 and left a message. Spoke with Sonny on 05/22/2023 and booked the move. Paid $1,325.33 on 05/22/2023. Sonny (561-486-2568) said I could call him anytime with questions. Attempted to call him several times without success, he was always on another call and unavailable. Jamie always answered the call. Received call from Nicholas (561-464-2418 Ext. 214) on 7/18/2023 for update of my inventory. He informed me the cost for pick up would be $2,314.00  and $2,314.00 at delivery plus $2,000.00 now. He put me on hold and came back with a discount of $500.00 bringing what I have to pay now to $1,500.00.  My cubic feet increased without anyone coming to look at the contents of my home or asking for a video of them. I asked Nicholas to call the morning of 7/19/2023. The morning of 7/19/2023 my daughter spoke with Nicholas with many questions about increase in cubic feet and increase in price. After that call Nicholas put the $1,500.00 payment on my credit card without talking with me. I quickly called my credit card and asked them to stop the payment as it was pending, they informed me they could not do that. I called Nicholas and told him he did not call me and I did not give him permission to charge my credit card $1,500.00. Also told him I was canceling the move and wanted my money back. I sent them an e-mail stating I canceled the move. Received call from Daniel Hardy (561-286-7629) in cancellations and told him the move was cancelled, told him I wanted my money back. Daniel sent me a Notice of Cancellation to sign stating I would not get my deposit back, my $1,500 would be refunded when I signed the notice. I would not be able to try to get my deposit back. I would not be able to pursue any negative communication against them. I will not sign the cancellation notice. I have filed a dispute with my credit card stating I did not give my permission for the $1,500.00 charge. I do not have a signed contract or a bill of laden. Hopefully you can help me with this situation. Hopefully others will avoid doing business with them. "

  • Dale howard, was not charged $1,500.00 from eagle moving group, he canceled his service at that time and the $1500 was voided. The original deposit is not due a refund as Dale was outside the cancellation window for a refund based on the policy he signed.
