Claimant says:
"bought a battery a month ago. two weeks later i tried to go fishing and the battery would not crank my boat. took it out of the boat and tried to charge it. it would not take a charge, called dixie to see if they had a place in guntersville, al. they said no. since i was a hundred miles from their place i went to town and bought another battery. today i took it back to them. since i didn't have my receipt they wanted to give me 42 dollars for it. he asked what i paid and i told him that i paid $60+ for it."

  • my battery charger works on every other battery i have ever put it on. if this battery was any good my charger would work. the battery has you name on it, as well as the month and year ticcket to tell you when i got it. when i bought the battery i did not have a core to give you, so you charged me for that. i beleive it was 14 dollars. you also charged tax. so the total was a lot more than $42.00.

    "Mr. Edwards

The company policy of Dixie Battery Supply is the following:

Under zero circumstances will a CASH refund be given to customers who have purchased a battery from Dixie Battery Supply and do not have the receipt upon the returning of the battery.

Therefore, we are sorry that you are having this trouble, but according to company policy, the 42$ that Dixie Battery tried to pay you, was a generous plea to end this claim.

Also, if a battery is returned for any type of warranty or claim, then Dixie Battery has to have the opportunity to charge that battery, and determine OURSELVES that the battery is bad, instead of going off of a customers intuition and the unpredictability that his charger may or may not work.

We thank you for the time, and we hope this clears up all questions or disputes you have. Thanks!
