Claimant's opinion: The installation of the counter is dangerous. If not immediately corrected the slab may break of the wall and crush some one.
I don't have the email. However, the postal address is already listed above. The email I have was not accepted by your form that I filled. Cre8kitcsenandbath.com is the web site. I have some pics but I couldn't attach them. I am 81 year old, not too savvy with computer. If you give mr your email address I may be able to send them to you. You must see the pics to appreciate how dangerous the installation is.
Luis Guzman cre8 inc.
Our company installed a bar top on a wall Mr. Sah had built by another subcontractor. This wall was finished and looked adequit enough to hold a countertop. Upon installation we added brackets that our company provides at $30 each at no cost. These did not hold and we recommended mr. Sah buy decorative breakers of his liking and we would install them at no additional charge. Mr. Sah refused to buy them stating that we as the profecialnal should have known how he had that wall built. We finally and reluctantly bought the additional brackets and sent an installer to put them in. Mr Sah refused them and wanted our company to deconstruct the wall and rebuild it properly at our expense. We have been very understanding and responsive to Mr. Sah's demand. We will not preform work that others where paid to do by Mr. Sah. He has been very difficult to work with and we feel the only reason he wants us to do it is that no other sub contractor will come back.
The Statement by Cre8 is incorrect in its entirerity. The wall was already there when Mr. Guzman came to quote on the job. It was not built after the contract was signed withCre8 as this statement suggest. The wall is only 4" (four inches) wide and the counter top is 19" (nineteen inches) wide. How can a company allegedly in business for sixteen year think that a nineteen inch wide granite slab weighing over 300 lbs can be installed without any support? Please, refer to the Photographs I have supplied. Laws of gravity does apply. I mentioned to the installer that this installation would not work. Upon his assurance that it would work I made the final payment.
"I do not know how to reply to Mr. Sah's dispute other than the following. Our company provided Mr. Sah with ktichen cabinets and granite counter tops. Mr. Sah hired a contractor from a different company, unknown to us. This contractor built a pass through wall of which he wanted a piece of granite counter top provided by us to be installed on. The wall was finished and ready for the granite when we arrived for installation. The wall was made of metal with no support. As we we installed we noticed the wall was not supported so we took extra precautions and added brackets advising Mr. Sah that if he wanted it to be stronger he would need to purchase additional support brackets at his expense. Also offering to install them at no additional cost. It is at that time that Mr. Sah expressed in his opinion we should have known what his wall was constructed from and we should have provided the decorative brackets. His demand at the time was unreasonable do to the fact that the original construction of the wall was handled by Mr. Sah and his contractor. Needless to say we came out one week after work was complete and Mr. Sah provided final payment. When he called we properly came out and assessed the situation and gave our recommendation and free labor. We have been in business for 16 years and work solely on recommendations. We take pride in our craftsmanship and work quickly to resolve any issues. We understand the brackets are a minor cost, but we feel we have been more than pleasant and understanding with him. We have also reach out to him since the claim was filed and are still providing service to him. He has asked us to rebuild and fix the issues with the wall the contractor he hired built. We have reached out and provided him with what he has asked for in regards to us purchasing the new brackets for him. Now he is going above and beyond that and asking us to fix the work a his contractor. "
