"I HAD FILED BANKRUPTCY I WAS TOLD THAT ONCE I FILED THAT THEY COULD GET ME IN A CAR . I FOUND A CAR , THEY STATED THAT THEY HAD BOUGHT FROM THE AUCTION 14,000. THE PROBLEM WAS THEY SOLD ME THE CAR FOR 23,000 AND IN KS WE HAVE TAXES THAT THE DEALERS INCLUDE IN THE PRICE THAT WAS NEVER PAID SO I COULD NOT GET REGISTERED. THE CAR WAS NOT WORTH 23,000 ONLY 19,000 AND THE TOTAL COST TO TAG UP THE CAR WAS 2800. WHICH I ASK THEM TO PAY, THEY ONLY GAVE ME A TAG FROM THEM FOR 30 DAYS WHICH THEY AS BACK NEVER GAVE ME A 60 DAY TAG. I CAN NOT AFFORD TO PAY TO REGISTER THE CAR. SO I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THEM. THEY STATED THAT I WAS UPSIDE DOWN AND THEY NEEDED TO MAKE SOME MONEY SO THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO.ALSO I WAS SENT A COUPON FOR $200.00 CARD FOR WALMART WHICH WAS NOT HONORED . I FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTION AND GAVE IT TO CAR SALES MAN WHOM TOLD ME HE WAS GOING TO LOOK INTO IT NEVER HEARD A WORD. I WAS SENT COOKIES TO MAY JOB. SO ANY THAT LIVES IN KS NEED TO LOOK OUT ."

  • Ms. Stricklen purchased her vehicle in June of 2012 and has apparently never paid her sales tax on the vehicle or registered it with the state of Kansas which is a violation of the Kansas Statutes. This dealership does not pay a customer's personal tax liability and Ms. Stricklen was well aware of that fact at purchase. She did call our dealership on September 23, 2013 and indicated that her hours had been cut at work and she wanted to sell her car. We advised her that she would be unable to sell the vehicle as she had not registered the vehicle and therefore had no legal title to exchange at sale so we could not assist her until it was registered as required by law. We have complied with a legal requirements of sale and can offer no additional assistance until the vehicle is registered and we can evaluate if a sale of vehicle is possible.
