Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"07/13/2010 - I purchased parts for my boat online - Transaction # 168042, Account # 7326937.
My credit card account was charged $312.90.
When I found out the parts don’t work, I asked for RMA#.
When I call, I was informed that Company does not accept part returns, I asked what I should do, the answer was, “do whatever you like”.
In this situation, I informed person I talked with that I will dispute the credit card transaction, and I did it.
My dispute was accepted by the bank; however, a few weeks later, the bank reversed this decision. I didn’t have any hard feelings about this. I did not read carefully the Company Return Policy.
On October 25th, 2010 I sent the parts back to Basic Power Industries for evaluation (per Company request).
I was informed that I will receive new parts if they are defective or the same parts back. That was 18 months ago.
May 23rd 2011 I have sent certified letter to Basic Power asking for money refund, I did not get any answer.
Therefore, after 7 months, Basic Power Industries stole my parts.
Of course, I do not expect any parts now; the boat is fixed, but what I expect is a full refund for the parts I paid and refund of interest I paid to Chase credit card during this time period.
I research this company on line, and I find out, many people experienced very similar events, so this company is just operating this way: making money by cheating.
