"Attorneys Naveed Karbassyoon, Rita Schmitt, Karly Tambara of the Law Firms Wai & Connor, LLP, Mullen & Llippi, LLP, hired me as a Qualified Medical Examiner to work for the firm and refused to pay. This involved two Workers' Comp cases in Orange County Silva and Guzman claims C345C6317817, C345C6317696, September 2016.
Work performed on these cases involved more thatn 19 hours of work as a chiropractic examiner and billed more than $1875.00. This reports were used in the adjudication of these cases and all attorneys listed above refused to pay to date.
A case was filed at the California Bar Association against them and was refused as it was said to lack jurisdiction.
I have performed the work and want to be paid with interest!

  • The attorneys in a workers' compensation case do not "hire" a medical professional for a Qualified Medical Examination.  There is a state mandated statutory scheme that is followed.  Assuming this procedure was followed correctly, the defendant/insurance carrier is responsible for payment -- not the attorneys/law firms representing the defendants.  The Workers' Compensation Appeals Board has a resolution process for this type of dispute.  This claim appears to brought against the wrong parties in the wrong forum.
