Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I ordered a land line from AT&T, it was to replace my line with Comcast. I wanted to keep the same phone number. They left me a message on January 6th, 2012 that their installer would be at my house on January 13th, 2012 between the hours of 8am and 12pm. I called them on January 9th, 2012 and talked to Lashonda and told her I was at work at those times and could they come after 4pm. She asked if someone over the age of 18 could be here and I told her no, they had to come out after 4pm. She seemed at a loss for words. She then asked if she could help me with anything else. I told her we need to set a different time. She said they were an 8-8 company and she could schedule it for after 4pm. I said that would be fine and I could be home by 4:15pm. I was also told at that time that my phone service would not be interrupted.
On January 12, 2012, at 5:25 pm, I received a call from Lashonda asking about a second line. After handling that issue, I reiterated that I would be home by 4:15pm for the installation and she assured me they would not come until then.
When I got home on Friday the 13th, my neighbors advised me that AT&T had already been out. Unfortunately, my phone was not working. I called AT&T from my cell phone and talked to Diane, who transferred me to Kathleen in repair who transferred me to Brittany. This all took about an hour. Brittany assured me that an installer would be out that night and install my phone. It is now January 14th and 11:08am and I still don't have a phone. It is impossible to contact anyone online. I spent an hour trying that. I only want a formal complaint sent to AT&T if possible. I will not use them for my phone
service but I think everyone should know how terrible they do business. Is this possible?"
