Claimant says:
"My car had been sitting in my garage for 5yrs. It was not running so I was either going to donate it to charity or have it towed to a mechanic to see if it would be a reasonable price to fix it, keep it for awhile longer so my 17yr old daughter could drive it until she could afford to buy a car. The original price was around $400. The final cost was $659(too much) but I paid it. Two days the car would not start. They came and picked up the car and kept it for a week. Mechanic said it was running. I picked it up and drove it for a day and then it would not start again. Mechanic came and picked up the car again and kept it for 2wks. He told me all of these things he did to the car and said he wasn't going to charge me like he was doing me a favor, when I already paid $659 for him to make it run for more than a day at a time. I picked up the car on July 5th for the 3rd time. It ran for more than a day. This time it stopped working on July 11th. I'm so fed up with calling him and I just really want to be done with dealing with him, but I feel like I haven't gotten my moneys' worth yet. I'm at my wits end. What do I do?"
