Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"We received a special gift from a friend for Amore Mio so the night was special. The waitress was new but very helpful and sweet. Our order was one fettuccini alfredo with an add on of the breaded chicken breast that is served on the pollo parmesean because we like to split meals and the cost of an add on was not much. The waitress said it would be an extra cost for the chicken and we thought that is usual and acceptable. When the meal finally came my partner noticed that it did not taste good and was a little hard on the top. She decided not to eat it. My meal was some of her alfredo with my chicken breast on top. I ate only a small amount but it tasted bad. Well the chicken breast on top was covered with marinara sauce on top of alfredo sauce which is a mistake the chef made not a waitress. Who would combine a meal like that. I wanted to mention this and get a new meal but we were pressed for time, and because of embarrassment my guests asked me not to say anything till we were leaving. The bill came and I was shocked that the extra charge was not just for an add on as requested and agreed upon but a whole other entree cost. I was not happy. We were on our way out and the manager had asked me what was wrong. I mentioned we were in a big hurry and we both agreed to talk about it later. I left my number. I did not hear back, and had called and left my number several times. The person answering the phone said the manager was not there much and would get back to me. Since no one was getting back to me I had to make several trips down to the restaurant to catch her. I did finally see her we talked and they refused to remedy the problem saying that I should have complained when it happened. Well the problem was that we had discussed we would talk in a day or so and no one ever got back to me. So I am now angry we were treated so badly. The meal I had tasted strange. And her meal went to waste."

Additional Communication Between Claimant and Amore Mio Hide

  • Mr Kapec,
I offered to resolve your issue to your satisfaction twice the night you were at Amore Mio. You refused my offers, and refused to give me the details of your concerns. You said you would come by or call. I did not hear from you for weeks. When we talked, you requested 2 meals at no charge so your partner would return. For the third time, I apologize for your experience. It is not our practice to mix alfredo and marinera dishes, nor do we charge full prices for add items. The computer input communicates directly with the kitchen to generate an order. To access this process, it is important and standard practice to resolve this issue with direct and professional conversation at the time of occurrence.
To resolve this issue, we are offering you 25% discount on meal items for dinner or lunch. Please bring this letter with you and present to the wait staff.
    Amore Mio Management.

  • you asked what the problem was. You did not offer a solution as you did not have any details. I said we were in a hurry and must talk later as you agreed. I left my number. And called back in two days since i did not hear back from you and left it again with the manager. Are you also say I am lying to you about my order now !!! I have two witnesses on that account. Your offer is not accepted.

I can understand why you (customer) feel disappointed. My suggested resolution: Amore Mio should 1) apologize for the customer not having a good experience , 2) offer either 50% refund or a 50% discount on their next meal for two, or a free bottle of wine with their next meal. More...
