Claimant says:
"I took a 1990 Toyota Winnebago into the Round Rock Lube N Go to get a Texas Inspection sticker.
I had just left Hester Automotive & Body shop in Round Rock 5 minutes from the Lube N Go.

I purchased the vehicle off e-bay and flew out to Las Vegas and drove it 1400 miles back to Round Rock.

I took the vehicle to Hester's for some preventative (recommended) maintenance. I had the timing belt, water pump, tension belt replaced. Truck was running fine when I left the shop, 4 witnesses at shop who worked on vehicle.

Lube N Go employees raced the engine excessively trying to get it to pass emission test. They floored the engine for at least 15 minutes and blew something in motor.

I took the vehicle directly back to Hester's for evaluation. They told me that Lube N Go over stressed the motor by racing the motor had such high RPM's for a extended time.

I called General Manager and he told me that the employees were just doing what was required for testing.

I was there and witnessed the event, they raced the motor until it blew something apart.

They should have stopped the testing instead of continuing at such a high rate"

  • What a shame to have hired a team to perform a simple task bungle the job from carelessness. The best form of advertisement is word of mouth. Remember advertising not only works for good reviews but also informs potential customers where not to go for services.
