Claimant's opinion: Refusal to control pain and unnecessary surgery due to carelessness and not listening to patient causing actual death!
Claimant's opinion: I knew that I was hemorrhaging, had an infection and had something wrong with my breathing and yet they acted like I was crazy until they realized I was right!
Why do you refuse to even look at this claim against you? Your staff made grave mistakes that ended my life. You sent in a young doctor that tried to appease me into thinking that I was okay and if it weren't for my 14 year old son, I would have died at home. You should be ashamed of yourselves!
We contacted a couple of lawyers who claim that because I'm breathing and alive now it's hopeless to fight against them,
When people are in pain, and being treated with multiple medications, it's hard for them to always have a clear picture of what is actually happening.
Much as I dislike medical malpractice lawsuits given how often they're abused, your situation might actually warrant one.
I'd suggest getting the medical records of your hospitalization from Loma Linda (see: http://medical-center.lomalindahealth.org/patients-visitors/medical-records/release-information), and then have the records reviewed by an attorney experienced in this area.
If there's a case the attorney feels can be won, they'll be happy to take it.
If so, sometimes just a letter from the attorney might get you a settlement offer.
First, I hope your health continues to improve.
As for the damages, in a medical case like this, if there was mal-practice, delayed treatment, or mis-diagnosis that led to more severe conditions or required additional medical treatment, then those medical costs should also be included as damages. If insurance covered these expenses, then money paid by the insurance would go to them, but if you paid anything out of pocket for these medical procedures and time in the hospital, then that money should be considered as part of your claim.
What were your additional out-of-pocket medical expenses after the initial treatment?

PeopleClaim is a new way to resolve disputes online without lawyers or mediators. By inviting suggestions from the public, disputing parties get ideas that can lead to settlement – and the person(s) who contributed them can win a reward.
Here's what to do: Read the case (left side of page). Then go to the bottom of the page and enter your suggestion in the space provided. Click the Solution button.
Your suggestion will be sent to both parties and will post on the claim. If the two sides agree to settle based on your suggestion, you're eligible to win. Note: Cash rewards may be split among more than one person if settlement depends on ideas from more than one contributor. If you have a claim of your own to resolve, click here.
You can submit up to three solutions / rebuttal, you would like to settle or to be voted on.
