Claimant says:
"We entered into a contract on 07/02/2015 to have a home remodeled in Lawton, Oklahoma. The amount agreed upon was $28,428.75. This included a kitchen remodel, tile, bathroom remodel, roof, structural and flooring in living room, drywall repair and ceiling texture, painting interior, painting exterior, carpet, windows and installation (entire house), 4 exterior doors installation, siding installation and ac repair. As of 12/29/2015 the remodel is not competed. We have paid $25,904.34. The kitchen and bathroom are not completed, new windows were not installed, new siding and exterior paint is not done, the exterior doors are not installed and carpet has not been measured and installed. We are extremely disappointed by the lack of communication and inability to attempt to finish the job, even through we purchased a lot of the materials and delivered it to the site.

Update 6/15/16

"Can you believe the job is not done. I had to hire Lowes to purchase and install windows and siding, plumbers, electricians and other trades. I am also needing to hire other people to fix his mistakes. He laid tile in the kitchen before removing the dishwasher. Now the dishwasher is tiled into the cabinets. I need to have a person come remove his tile and then fix his job. I had to have wooden cabinet doors made because the originals are gone. There was another family that had a similar experience. I saw that he still has a Yelp page. He is not honest and does not do work worthy of the &25,000 I paid him."

Message from Donewright Construction: I apologize for not getting with you, i have had an infection and have been ill.
My wife notified me of the email. All issues that i have discussed with Desmond have been resolved and i can finish house by end of January. i need one more day to get over this, then i will begin work on your house on December 31, 2015. i will email you updates and photos beginning that day and complete by end of month. i told desmond it would be January..... 2 weeks ago.
start looking for reports at end of week.. i will let you know if i need anything.

  • I stand by this claim, and nothing was ever resolved.   I had to hire other professionals, the work that he did  in the house had to be redone in order to sell the home.  Please never use this individual as a contractor in your home.
