"Lease to purchase A truck That Was A Lemon, Started Having Problems With This Truck 50miles From The Dealer And ended up in Shop in Medford, Or. At Freighliner 8days in Motel, Then Ended up in The Shop 2 days Fontana, Ca. Freightliner, Then 2days Valley Freightliner in Pacific, Wa. So their Mech Could Find Problem And Repair PRoblem, Was told Nothing Wrong W/The Truck, Told Them iT Was Using Coolant And Fuel Tanks Not Balancing, Ended up in The Shop Again in Fontana,Ca. Fontana Freightliner for 9days, Took iT to Valley Freightliner again told me nothing wrong again, ended up in Fontana Freightliner again W/major Prob, morri asked if I just wanted to just give truck back and brett would compensate me lost wages, then after 4 days told me going to give me nothing more than 700 gave me, I feel I lost Aprox $6,000 8 weeks only wanted him to give me $2,800 lost income and living expenses, lost way more."

  • WHEN I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE TRUCK I ASKED IF THEY WOULD TRADE IT OUT FOR ONE OF THE OTHER TRUCKS ON THE LOT FOR SALE, MORRI TOLD ME COULD NOT THOSE TRUCKS ARE NOT FOR LEASE,WAS ALSO TOLD IF I FAXED HOTEL BILLS WOULD SEND ME A CHECK THAT NEVER HAPPEND, WAS ALSO TOLD THEY WOULD MAKE IT WRIGHT STILL NOTHING, NOT TELLING ME THE TRUTH ABOUT ANYTHING, I FAXED HOTEL REC PARTS REC, HAVE NOT CONTACTED ME SINCE END OF FEB,NOW I AM HAVING TO PAY LIC FEES FOR A TRUCK THAT WAS A LEMON AND NOT PROPERLY CHECKED OUT LIKE I WAS TOLD IT WAS, WHEN I WAS IN MEDFORD, OR. FRIEGHTLINER SHOP THEY TOLD ME IF THE TRUCK HAD BEEN PROPERLY CHECKED OUT WOULD HAVE FOUND MOST OF THE PROBLEMS, ( 70,000 TRUCK BY END 4YRS THEY DID NOT PROPERLY CHECK OUT JUST TOLD ME EVERY TIME NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TRUCK WHEN THERE MECH LOOKED AT IT THEY WOULD LET THE TRUCK IDL IN PARKING LOT 2 OR 3 HRS THEN TELL ME NOTHING WRONG EVEN WHEN I TELL THEM I AM STILL USING COOLANT AND FUEL TANKS ARE NOT BALANCING, I TRIED EVERYTHING TO TRY AND MAKE IT BUT ALMOST BROKE ME, HAD LOTS OF TRUCKS FOR SALE IN FRONT LOT AT THAT TIME.

  • Is there any type of warranty included with this lease/purchase? If so, refer to the warranty to see if you have any remedy. If not, I would still write a letter to whomever you dealt with on the lease/purchase and outline the issues you have had. Include copies of the repair bills and an outline of the compensation you feel entitled to. It seems to me that you would not pay for unnecessary repairs on a truck in order to get reimbursed from Valley Freightliner. I also suggest thinking about the best case scenario regarding compensation as well as the worst case scenario. What is the least amount you are willing to accept that you feel will remedy the situation? Keep that to yourself but you will know the bottom dollar amount. If you do not receive an answer to your satisfaction, I would draft another letter, including the same information, and forward it to someone higher up in the company. Remember to remain calm and confident. If you were them, would you want to deal with you screaming, threatening, or otherwise acting in an unreasonable manner? Best of luck in resolving this claim.
