Claimant says:
"1.Purchased a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited, salesman told me that the vehicle was loaded. After purchasing the vehicle no CD player.
2. Salesman told me that was getting a better rate than the company that referred me to Lake Norman Jeep Chrysler, that was not true.

3. The loan has been paid off in-full. I canceled the Gap Coverage($800.00) and Extended Warranty($3354.00) Lake Norman Chrysler Jeep has not may any attempt to refund my money."

  • Mr. Bagley,
    We have a cancellation form that was faxed stating that you would like to cancel the GAP insuance only, since your new Finance Company provides this service for you. If you inteneded on cancelling all warranties, the boxes were not checked. This can be completed if you wish by contacting us back to give the okay. The original cancellation form was faxed and quite fuzzy on the edges, therefore your approval would be necessary to cancel the maintenance/service agreement.   • The response that Ms Lang gave was a total fabrication or lie. I have never spoken to Ms.Lang or know who she is or what she does. I have spoken directly to Brian Utter who is the financial manager of Lake Norman Jeep Chrysler. We have spoken several times and he has also spoken with the representative at the Chrysler Corporation. At my first conversation with Mr Utterly on October 15, 2014 he told me that only the gap coverage box was checked. I immediately sent him a new fax with all boxes checked. At that time he informed that the total of $35,000.00 would have to be paid off before I could receive my refund. I spoke to him 0n 31 October 2014 again to tell him the total loan was paid off. He informed med that I should receive my refund around the middle of November 2014. He never said one word that he did not receive my fax regarding the cancellation of the gap coverage and extended warranty. I call again around the middle of the month and spoke with Cory James another financial manager Lake Norman Chrysler Jeep. He informed me that they were waiting on the benefit company to send the check which should be at the end of December 2014. After further inquiry concerning the company that the cancellation request was going to they, told me a flat out "Lie". The Fax sheet they sent me was to Zurich Insurance. When I called Zurich Insurance they did not know who I was or what I was talking about. The correct company should have been Portfolio insurance. They have no intention of paying me my refund of close to $$4000.00. There is a law in North Carolina concerning the refund of of Gap Coverage and Warranty Coverage. I am retired military and feel that Lake Norman Chrysler Jeep is out to try and take advantage of veterans. The only way to deal with companies that prey on veterans is through the courts.
