Claimant says:
"I hired Gutter Brothers to clean out my leaders and gutters. David Murphy (owner) told me the job would cost $250 since that is his minimum charge. He said he would clean out my leaders and gutters and fix the areas where the gutter was moved away from the house. He said it would take about an hour. He showed up on 9-26-14 in the rain with another worker and spent 10 minutes at my house. All he did was clean out the leaders and put some nails into one part of the gutter on the side of my garage. I showed him where all of the corners were leaking and he said they need caulking but he cannot do that in the rain and said he would come back to finish up. I then noticed during a torential downpour that I have another problem by my front sidewalk where the water is leaking between the house and the gutter. I left him five voice messages and asked him to call me back. He has refused to call me back and has not come by to finish the job correctly. He cashed my check immediately after leaving my house on the 26th."

  • Either refund my $250 so I can hire someone else or finish the complete job you were paid for. I asked you to check all of my leaders and gutters and fix whatever needed fixing including what I knew about. It was your job to tell me what needed fixing, you are the expert supposedly not me.

  • Write your message hereI went over the proposal with Karen on what I was going to do when I came out to her house the first time which was to clean out the gutters because the downspout was clogged up and I showed her that right then and there and the gutter was falling down from behind the drip badge and I told her that we were going to put it up and that is exactly what I did when we finish the job I showed her the gutter back up the gutters were cleaned out and she was happy with that and she was happy with that and she wrote me a check for $250 which is my minimum charge for any work I do I did not do the initial install on the gutters all I came out to do was clean out the gutters and put the gutter back up as stated in the proposal

  • We were at your house for a half an hour you didn't mention nothing about the corners leaking when I wrote up the proposal I did exactly what I said I was going to do if you want me to record your corners I could do it for an additional fee $25 per corner
