Claimant says:
"Bad promises!! Was told vacuum was so expensive because it was warranted for life and unbreakable.
Well, every year they send a guy to check it out and clean it--found out much too late that this is a scam to get more money from you!!! We were too trusting when told we must buy new filters each time or void the warranty! This we did until last year we refused more filters at a cost ABOVE any new vacuum!! So, we were told the beater bar would need replaced as it would not turn after the previous cleaning. The guy wanted hundreds for a new one which we refused to pay because of the warranty and had to call the company to get it done at no charge!
Get this--this is the killer!!! Dwight--the same guy from last year--comes again and tells us our filters need replaced and we said they looked clean to us. He stated that spores couldn't be seen but we had filters to give him so he said he wrote the date to change the filter on the filter and he was 6 months late for that BUT the main thing is the dummy thought he could pull one over on we old folks by telling us we needed a new beater bar(this being replaced on his last visit)!!!!
How forgetful was he?! He said it must have broken again! The joke was on him--after he left last year we bought a new vacuum (for less than we paid for filters) and NEVER used his Majestic sweeper!!!
We were so furious that we thought about suing then we called the company to tell them what was going on--they knew, of course--and got the runaround (boss not there; he'll call next day). Mike NEVER called!! CROOKED COMPANY!!! Everyone beware! Still deciding what to do. Suggestions??"

  • Company claims I am never happy--of course you are not happy if each "free" cleaning visit turns into a spending spree for more of their products to keep the vacuum running! Also, LIED to by representative stating brush bar broken, needing replaced, and he forgot he pulled that scam the last time he was here! He supposedly replaced it and we never used it since--also, told filters were dirty, just couldn't see the dirt! Get real!!

  • Why is this taking so long to resolve? More people are being scammed by them every day! Have not heard anything in ages but crossed this as I was clearing some files.
