Claimant says:
"I'm a very big fan of Earth Fare but it drives me crazy that you don't label your salad bar or buffet food as vegetarian or meat. I know lettuce is vegetarian, but I don't always know whether the mystery meat thing or the casserole from yesterday's left overs has meat in it. If I get to check out and something has meat that wasn't labeled, I usually just leave. That's bad for both of us. Please clearly label ALL your food as either veggie or meat. Maybe add a label too for vegan and wheat. Organic vs Non-Organic would be good too. WholeFoods is requiring GMO labels so you might want to throw that in too- just to show some respect for your customers."

    Thank you for your outreach and I apologize for the delay in my response. I am sorry to hear that you had a negative experience at one of our stores but we appreciate you letting us know so we can correct the situtation and make it right for you. As it is our policy to properly label our Salad and Hot Bar, can you please let me know which Earth fare location you shop at so that I can follow up with them?

  • Hi thanks for your belated response. The issue with not labeling veggie vs meat items was at the Boone NC store. Still an issues esp when they have stuff like fake chicken paties which could also look like real chicken patties. I've been a vegitarian for 26 years but pretty sure I ate real chicken thinking it was mock checken. A simple green for veggie, red for road kill would have saved me
