Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"bought a 2007 yukon truck from the company with a warranty, paid $2,800 for the warranty. and when the truck engine started acting up i took the truck in for repair, found out that the warranty wasn't active. so they charge me to give $800 to take out the motor something that the warranty should have covered, also I'm still making payments on the truck. so everytime I call they give me the run around.now they telling me that I have to pay aonther$$ 2,000 for another motor.......... Additional Communication Between Claimant and Ac Motors Hide
  • Jun 21, 2018, AC Motors (responding party) added:
  • Anthony,
AC Motors made a mistake and signed you up with the wrong service contract. We didn't realize this mistake until you came in with your failed motor. We immediately cancelled the wrong service contract and activated the Service contract you originally signed up for at no additional charge to you. You now have a fully in force service contract through Alpha that we originally promised you with the same terms and benefits. Alpha has a limit of $3500 for engine replacement. We offered you two options, a new rebuilt engine for $6900 or a used engine for $5300. You chose the rebuilt. You are responsible for all costs over $3500 plus you put down $800 so you have a balance of approximately $2600. It is unfortunate that you had this problem but at least you got $3500 in coverage and you still have a lot of coverage left. You are over $700 in positive benefit since you paid $2800 for service contract. Your vehicle is ready to go and we are ready to return your vehicle to you pending payment and proof of insurance. You are a great paying customer and we appreciate your business.
