Just sign here and you'll have the rate reduced by $10.00. At no point did they state that this would require a new contract. To make matters worse, the contract is for 5 years. That term is predatory and certainly not standard practice in the alarm, internet, phone or cable service arenas. How do you offer a 75 year old person a 5 year contract? The ATT tech, coming to install the new system, heard the whole conversion and was in disbelief. He actually called me later that evening, to hear how I made out. Not what you would expect from an installer, but he was shocked by the details of the conversation and contract. Yes, my wife signed the papers, but without it being pointed out that a new 5-year contract would start. Too much like a door to door hustle, by someone working on commission. The contract is in my name, but I did not sign it. My wife did.*” ...Show less »
