Complaint History & Business Rating for Oroville Police Dept

Terry B. says: The sevices of the OPD are terrible and unsatisfactory. They apperently play favorite to certain citisens and discount others. I was involved in an incident today at 2:45pm at the intersection of Feather River Blvd and Oro Dam Rd. I was vicitim to threats by the occupents of a vehicle after I had exitedthe driveway at the Tractor Supply. A vehicle traving SB on FRB approaching the business park with TS approx 1/4 mi down from my location, I pulled out onto FRB headed SB and noticed that the vehicle had sped up and was right on my rear bumber, as I pulled to the side,to allow passage, the car pulled next to mine and both occupents made threatening gestures and verbal threats to me, My window was down and I yelled out " Why do have to be be right on my ass?' thats when both occupents made verbal threats of physical harm to me, I'm a 66yo disabled amputee person with one leg, I was behind them at the light because they sped off, when behind them at lite I took a picture of theyre Lic Plate and called OPD right away and parked at the McDonalds on the corner..3 OPD police cars arrived, 2 went accross street to Harbor Frieght Parking lot where the other car had stopped and one female officer came and asked my for my ID and what happened, she said not much could be done because no witnesses and he said she said sitiuation, she informed that she would talk to the male officers who were talking with the occupents of other car and come back and let me know what was going on. I was visible shaken by the incident, and waited for her to return, and all 3 OPD cruisers then left the scene and no one came back to talk or check on my situation. Very disappointed in the handling of this situation, it almost appeared that these individuals knew the OPD officers and gained some favor from them in dropping the situation. I was left physically shaking at the MD parking never hearing anything back. So apparently one must be in a physical accident and or suffer some sort of bodily harm before OPD does anything, or be buddies withem to recieve special treatment in this city. Im a citisen and I pay their saleries thru taxes,,,so what gives. I feel threatened and unsafe in this city due to OPDs lack of service and apparent disregard for the othe they took to protect and serve ALL citizens in Oroville. I want to file a complaint and expect someone in the department to reach out to me withj explaination of their actions or lak of!
