Guy L. says: I paid 82,500.00 for a convertible 57 Chevrolet plus 9900.00 in commission another 2300.00 shipping and 200.00 registration fee to by a car that was advertised as private collection. It wasn’t it was sold by dealer. Was told dealer bought a private collection and was selling it. Misleading. Was advertised frame off restoration. Was not trunk would not even close.interior smell like mold Convertible top didn’t work pump and cylinders leaked fluid all underneath back seat on carpet rear lights don't work at all car leaks oil from every where transportation didn’t even secure trunk let alone put it didn’t close on there bill of lading dishonest and hiding info. I did take video of talking to driver and him unloaded car he even admitted in video trunk didn’t close and car had old gas in it which meant it sat for a long time contacted mecum was told had to talk to resolutions. And was told by them it was my fault I didn’t have car inspected when it says in there disclaimers that you would get a one on one call walk around of the car and never did was told it was my fault I didn’t make an appointment I didn’t read nor was i told i needed to I spent almost 100k for a car that’s needs to he completely redone. And the damage that was added by the Mecum transportation department not at least securing the trunk and letting it bounce open from texas to California didn’t help eaither. If you purchase a car thru this auction without being there to check out the car read there disclaimers close really close. They will tell you everything is your fault they even ssid they have no knowledge of cars shape yet they take a misleading video advertising it how do you know nothing when you filmed car to advertise. Something needs to be done about there misleading buyers. It is not right to cheat people like they do then say your fault nothing you can do about it it’s your fault Really makes you angry and the fact you have video proof of the shipping and drivers comments ??

Joey B. says: Purchased a 1978 Corvette Pace Car Edition from 2021 Orlando Auction as online bidder. Car was advertised as 23,000 miles. Outside looks great, however after car was delivered, I put it up on my rack and discovered that the frame was rusted through in two places in front. Not safe to drive on road as is. Everything rusted underneath. No way 23,000 miles. Now have to do a $16,000 frame replacement along with other items under the car. Mecum was quite rude when confronted and only offered $1,700 to help with repairs. The Mecum rep suggested that I put in in their next auction to sale (to screw over some other poor sucker). Don't trust what they advertise on the cars because no one is checking on it. BEWARE - SOLD AS IS

Tess B. says: Prices for road art and automobiles are overinflated and they have planted fake bidders in the audience to drive prices. If you attend and bid on Mecum auction plan to pay up to 10 times more on what the actual value of the item is. Jimmy Landis a senior Mecum auctioneer is rude and unprofessional. We will never attend a Mecum auction!!! It’s a rip off!!!
