Lane P. says: 1 person showed concern for the co. and workers. The rest was self centered jack,,,,, All the rest only cared or showed interest in making money. To illustrate, they assigned me with a set of trailers that was real dirty with asphalt and expected me to clean them put they did and may I say not very good job. With this problem I had to have the dirt dug out or pushed down to empty trailers almost every load or go around and around trying to bounce dirt from trailers, which got me stuck when just the front trailer would empty and back was full or partly empty. The day I complained to the office they gave me another set but then I wasn't given a dispatch and asked why. Took serval days to get answer but was told I wasn't fired, ok, why am I not working? Earlier I had to jam on my brakes to avoid hitting cars that were passing and they almost collided. I didn't have time to push the clutch in and killed the engine. Had 3 cars involved, 2 passing one on one side and the other on the other side. When the 2 passed and both heading for the same lane I was in both saw was going to collide then they started to return to their lane when another car passed me on the right, shot between the two cars and I barley missed hitting them while I stopped. Engine would not start so had to call tow truck. Delivered material next day. Later was informed why I could not work anymore for them. Was told I had 2 incidences to close together so I was fired. The other incident was 2012 a drunk ran into the back of my truck causing an accident and totaled my truck. I think because it took them so long to give me an answer is why the didn't want to say I was fired because of my age. Another point when I was hired the first time 2012 I told them they could not find anyone better qualified, with the experience. I waited quite some time and was told the boss was thinking about it so I went in and told the boss the only reason I am not being hired is because of my age, the next day was hired. So what would you think, yes I am 80 years but past the Medicals and was granted 2 years, not 1 year as my health was excellent and still is.
