Laura T. says: The Abuelos in Tulsa OK on 71 Street, has a wonderful waitress staff for the night shift. We are always treated well and go there a lot to eat, because it is the BEST in Tulsa. A few problems arose when we were there tonight my husband gets the 23$ fajita plate and it had 4 tiny pieces of Beef we let the Manager Jim know and he acted like we were trash and like we wanted free food then he also said "well they over cooked yours we try to leave it a little pink so it looks like more" Next I get what I always get, The Chicken Mojo I always get charged 12.99 for my plate. I get my ticket and its 19.00$ for my plate. I talk to the manager again and told him what my plate normally cost and he said "its not in the system so its hard to figure out what the price is so we just guess it" he said he would fix it and took 1$ off! That was so Embarrassing to get treated so poorly by a "Manager" especially when the whole waitress staff is so Kind and there is other managers there that are very nice but Jim needs to learn about Customer Service I think he should follow his night server Johnathen around for a few weeks he is the best! It is sad that he has made it to where we don't want to go back to eat at our Favorite Restraunt in Town!

Cindy F. says: We eat at the Midland, TX Abuelos about once a month,. Our waiter last night was wonderful. He is a young man (Keenan) but was very good, never missed a beat, always smiling and was very pleasant even though he was very busy. On the other hand the restaurant manager was very unprofessional in my opinion. I am an operations manager for al large change of convenience stores with more than 200 people that work for me. We sat in the bar area, and when we sat down the manager (I asked the hostess) was standing at the table next to us visiting with friends. They discussed baseball, football and several other things. He never left the whole time we ate and was still standing there when we left. The restaurant was extremely busy and he never moved from his friends table for at least one hour. To me, he certainly was not showing his employees what not to do. I am sure if he saw one of his employees standing visiting with friends he would tell them to get to work. There were times when people were standing waiting for tables to be cleared and he would just yell at someone to get the table cleaned. Not professional in my world. It is very hard to find good help in Midland do to the oil fields but when a manager does not lead by example, what can he expect from his staff. If he was my store manager he would certainly be demoted. I was not the only one that noticed as the table next to us on the other side was talking about he had a blue Abuelos shirt on and they figured he was in management, but wondered why he just stood visiting for so long.
Other than this one problem everything was very good.
