The Principal of ABG FIELD SERVICES, Orlando Givens, has held prominent positions in the mortgage banking industry for over 20 years. He is also a speaker at many seminars and conferences across the country, an author, a national instructor for VRM University and a graduate of Morehouse College. With all that experience, I was astonished when he told me that I was the reason why his business is failing. He stated he had no money because he paid me thousands more than he should have for the entire time I worked for him. However, he never disputed or sent back one invoice to be adjusted from the hundreds of jobs that I completed. On one occasion, we had a conversation where I asked him if he was paying me for the invoices he received payment on, or if he was just paying all of his sub-contractors a portion. He admitted that he was paying everyone a little bit to try and keep everyone happy. Robbing Peter to pay Paul. I would definitely call that mismanagement of a company. He always paid on time until this last year. I was having to beg to get paid . It was a constant battle and still isn't over. I believe he started living outside of his means, with me paying for it. My invoices were to be paid in 30 days. I'm still owed for jobs that were completed six months ago. The last payment I received was on December 8, 2015. The total amount remaining due is $5,703.93. This amount doesn't include any interest or late fees, which I should of charged him. Any contractors considering working for this company may want to reconsider.
