Debra F. says: My Mom has been a resident for almost 4 years. she has been wanting a room with a window. So she got moved Tuesday. When I went to visit yesterday as soon as I walk in her room mate told everyone that sits up front she kept her awake with her snoring. Then when I went to Mom's room the a/c was on and it was cold so I cut it off. the room mate started again. My reply was what else are you going to complain about. I told her I already heard. As the day went on I took my Mom to ge ther hair done a t beauty shop then went and bought her lunch. then we went to visit her cousin who is also a resisdent. So when I got ready to leave here room mate said to me can you move her back out. So Rhonda heard her. I went out the nursing station highly upset and said what do you want me to do with her!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mom said that if that was a problem she would go back to her old room. But they put someone else in there. Her old room mate Rita got on Mom's nerves. So we where told that the one who was complaining had to move! so Chelsea and amber asked June about Mom moving in and she s aid it would be go. Now JUne wants Mom back out and she said she was not moving. I told June we where told that the one who had the complaint had o move. The asst. director of nursing and the director do not care about the patients or staff members. Both have complained about everything up ther and still nothing get solved. I hear all the complaints from other staff plus residents. It get very upsetting every time I walk through that door. The state was there again yesterday. I told her they may come back again for the third time. My Mom is dying per the nurse practioner her kidneys are failing plus her heart is getting weaker. Also I found out from my doctor that this is effecting my health with all the stress. I tired of not getting any results. she is supposed to put a pillow or blanket between her legs and the sit and stand before they get her up. Half the time no one does it. My Mom's legs have been black and blue. to me this is a form of abuse. Plus they do not take her to the bathroom when needed. she has to hold it. I am not threating anymore. I am telling you if things do not get straight by Friday of this week I am calling the State myself plus will contact the attorney in florida who asked for anyone that had a resisdent there I still have his number and address. My mother in law died last year up there and hospice did not do what they where suppose to do now my Mom plus her cousin is private pay and they are not doing her right with her bills. My Mom does not want to move to another facilty because she like everyone there. But enough is enough. I do not understand why certain resisdents never get room mates and are treated more special. this stuff has got to stop. when the state is not there the room across from nursing station is supposed to be locked but it is not. Patient can go in and out. smoking they go I and out on weekends other patients pushing patients. No one cleans on the weekend. Two patients have got a staff infection or mersa. I know more about what goes on than some of the staff. I asking you to please get something straight.
