ON Dec 15, 2017, I was admitted to MHC of Traverse City for a back fushion being performed by Dr John Cilliffo.I believe he did a good job for the pain in my leg has gone away from my left leg but now has transmitted down into my right toes where it feels like they are frozen all the time, but as he has explain to me- it probably just the nerves and should go away within couple of years. I sure hope so for it not fun walking on frozen numb toes. 2 years sounds like a long time to me.




I have some complaints. MY wife was present with me after they transfer me to my room and everything was fine. While she was there, I had a morphine drip and the alarm went off and we call for the nurse what did come in and inspect the machine. I do not know what she did but whatever she did-when I would press the green button for more morphine-the morphine green light would not turn to red like they ususally do. Instead, I could keep pushing the green button and the flow of morphine just kept coming thru. The drip was nonstop.BY the time I pressed it few times-The clock on the wall literaly stop-my voice got very blurry where my wife couldn't understand me, and All I could see was white and everything was in slow motion what I could see and the taste in my mouth was horrible.. I believe if I hadn't complain to my wife about it that night I would been dead of a morphine Overdoze next morning.




I passed out and I woke up during the night in pain and ask if I could have something for pain and they TOLD ME no. They said I was a addict for I smoke cigarettes. fyi- I hadn't abused drugs or drank alcohol for over 25 years thanks to NA and AA. and I went back to sleep in pain.




Same night I woke up- I was confused and I notified the nurse I could not see- I didn't know where I was and I was in bad bad pain and If I could get some pain meds and I was told no for I was a addict for I smoke cigarettes. R U KIDDING ME? after finally getting some reasoning to where I was- I was told by a man lpn that " you knew where You was all along and wanting attention". R U SERIOUS?




I asked 3 different nurses where my wife and each told me my wife had gone home- (we live in Lake City) and it was snowing hard that night. To find out, she didn't have a place to sleep so she went to the waiting room at the hallway(third floor)and they kicked her out of there when she was sleeping during the night and had to go outside and sleep in our jeep. It got -15 degrees that night.




I can not belieive you folks treated me like this after a major operation and treated my wife like a stray dog and kicked her out on the street. HOW shameful of you guys.




I recently got a card from ward B3 Staff and there names are Grant-Sarah-Marva-Pattie-Katie-Ashley-chris-lee-JW Missy ad Debbie. Guess what file it ended up in, it sure was not on my Christmas tree. I doubt I ever come back there.
