Byron A. says: Getting supplies approved is no longer worth the stress. Every time I attempt to order they have another excuse as to why they can't ship the supplies. I have now been with Medtronic for just under 5 years. I have been using insulin for 34 years. It usually starts with the Drs notes not being recieved, then the notes are the wrong or incomplete. Once that is cleard up, the note are to old and they can't accept them. Then, the insurance forms haven't been filled out by hand they want the form, that they emailed me, printed out, hand signed and copied and returned to them. In the 4.5 years I have fighting with them I have never hand signed and send them copy, as I am working off a tablet, and I don't have a printer. They sometimes accept the form, usually they reject it the 1st time. I have now been without supplies for 30 days and back on multiple injections daily. At this point I wonder why I thought going to a pump was a good idea. I am up almost 2 points, in my Hb1ca from a high 5 to a midrange 7 or at times even an 8. Every 2 months I have to spend hours trying to get the paperwork straight. At 1st I thought it was something I was doing wrong. Then I spent a few hours researching Medtronic problems, and discovered that I am not the only person with these issues. I was on the Omni Pod for 6 mo or so. The biggest issue I had with them keeping the pod on, as I knocked it off every other day. But never did I have these types of paper work problems.
