Cindy R. says: James asked for money up front for supplies then would not come and do the work. He would say he was coming then not show and he did this on several occasions. At this point I requested that he just return my money and I would get someone else to do the jobs I had hired him for. I never even saw the materials. He disconnected his telephone number so that I could not continue to contact him via telephone. I was able to send to send a demand letter and eventually his daughter signed for receipt of the letter. Now, I am going to file a case in small case court so that there is a record of what he did.

    Claimant says:I hired James Phillips to install a steel gate and to do some finishing fence work on November 11, 2015. On that same date I provided $200.00 for him to use for materials. This agreement was obtained and signed by him in writing. I never received the materials I provided the $200.00 for and he never did either of the jobs.
