Freddie D. says: My husband purchased this policy from Investors Life Insurance Company in 1984. We paid the premium faithfully and received no correspondence about a premium increase until 2019. At that time we were told the cash value had been used to pay the premium and that the policy was in grace period and about to lapse. We were able to pay the back premiums and make the policy current. But after that experience every time we pay the premium within a few weeks, (we pay every three months ), we receive a notice stating the policy is in grace and is about to lapse for unpaid premiums. As far as I can tell this Company exist only to defraud its customers. This company used all the cash value without notifying the policy holder and is now trying to cancel the policy for non-payment of premium. My husband has tried to reach them by telephone but the phone number listed will ring and then just stops without explanation. This seems to be common operating procedure.

Jesse R. says: They are a bunch of crooks had policy for years supposed to have been a fixed payment then they kept raising it would make that payment then a couple of weeks later would get a letter to say we needed to pay a larger amount to stay in grace never knew what we were going to pay honestly think when you get older they want to get rid of you so they won't have to pay off.

Dr. J. says: Premium issue date: December 21 1984. Paid $30.00 per month until 2013 when Larry died. Payment was taken out of bank account March 2013 and Larry died April 26, 2013. Filed claim and they said policy lapsed. Hired a lawyer and met with him several times. He was going to investigate and sue. Two years later, we checked with him and he had forgotten. He was rude and told me to investigate. Had to wait three more years to be released from lawyer and still get NOTHING for Life Insurance that we paid for every month! Greedy/selfish/evil company.
