Dan G. says: Contracted Fresh Look Painting to do tile work in a renovation (after they insisted this was something they did often). After walking the job and showing Joe the materials, he quoted a price. This price was detailed in a contract with payment terms and a description of work that both parties signed on Nov 21, 2018. After starting and doing about two-thirds of the work, Joe and Ken would continuously ask for additional payments. After holding off for a while, I eventually paid them the remaining contract money. At this point, Joe and Ken disappeared claiming they were having health issues. Additionally, after they stopped showing up, some of our floor tile began popping up due to the wrong product and application used for the thinset. Now, we were left with incomplete and improper work that had to be checked, occasionally redone and finished. After discussing this with Ken and Joe, we agreed to get a partial refund for the uncompleted work. After chasing them for multiple months, I was able to get about 15% of the refund. They then began making excuses on why they haven't been able to continue payments. I've been very flexible and offered to meet wherever they were working but never received any confirmations from them. I even offered other painting work for them to work off their debt which they said they would be very interested in. I met with Joe in July 2019 and detailed the work to be done in exchange for the debt. Joe agreed and said he would start immediately. He has yet to start after many calls, text messages and promises that he would. The biggest problem is that they will continuously hassle you for money, even ahead of the agreed upon payment terms. Only pay for work completed because they have proven that they cannot be trusted and that their word means nothing! Overall I'm just disappointed.

Only pay for completed work because they have proven that they cannot be trusted!

Eileen W. says: 1. The work had to be completely redone by the owner himself as he considered the work of his employee unacceptable.
2 Freshlook414 was contracted and paid in full to paint an apartment. last Feb. The Ken the owner did some work but as of today May 18 he has not returned to complete the work. and the apt is unfinished.
3 At on point I asked for a refund and received no response. I then offered to accept half of what I paid him and still no response.
4 Only after I contacted Peopleclaim did he contact me. He promised to make it right in his words but prior to completion he emailed me and told me he wouldn't finish the painting until I withdrew my complaint.
5 People claim is the only leverage I have so far. My review is dependent on him completing the work.
6 In summery once they were paid my dissatisfaction was pretty much put on the back burner. Ken. finally came to assess the work about a month ago and started to redo all of the work is employee had started. .
7 A week ago I was given an ultimatum. Withdraw my review or the work would not be completed.
My communication with this company is well documented. These are not opinions, only . What is presented here are the facts. This work needs to be completed before the review altered.
