Claimant says: "I had an excessively creaking driver door. I brought it in early in the morning and was expecting to pick it up that night. It even stated so on my receipt. A very long story short... They took 43 days to fix it!!! Actually Paramus Chevy couldn't fix it themselves. They had to have an independent body shop fix it for them. They replaced the whole door. Then, when I picked it up the exterior looked like it was just hosed off. There were dried drip runs, bird poop on the fender, finger prints and smudges here and there, and the windows and mirrors were all streaked and water spotted. The 2 garbage bags I had on the driver seat to keep it from getting dirty were gone. In their place was a dirty spot and a matching dirty spot on the passenger seat. The driver door threshold, the floor and the trunk mat were all dirty. There were 2 or 3 dirty rags laying on the side of the passenger seat. They accumulated 23 miles while they had the car. When I drove out of the dealership and looked in the driver side mirror to merge into rush hour highway traffic, I couldn't see! I tried to adjust it with the controls - nothing happened! Passenger side also! I had to open the window and move the mirror with my hand so I could see out of it! When I got home and opened the hood to connect my battery maintainer I saw gel globs and dried residue on the valve covers and on a few other areas. I looked up and saw a large hole in the hood insulator and white residue at the top of the hood!? I had to bring the car back to them two more times because even though I wrote a list for them to follow each time, obviously at Paramus Chevrolet attention to detail does not exist! They had my car for a total of 46 days to fix a creaking door! I was never offered anything as compensation for this ordeal. Not even a free oil change. I also was never offered a loaner car. I was told none were available. I have health issues and this has caused me a great deal of stress! I had expenses during these 46 days that I had to pay even though they had my car, such as the Onstar bill, car insurance, and car loan payments. When I asked the General Manager Dennis F. Adams to take responsibility, be accountable, and compensate me for the expenses I incurred during this period he would only offer to pay for part of my expenses. I asked him again to please pay for all of them or he would lose us as customers, I would send all of these complaints to General Motors, The BBB, N.J. Consumer Affairs, and file a lawsuit against them. He refused. All I was asking for was $786. He was only willing to pay just over $400. So for that small amount more he has lost my whole family and friends as customers. Not to mention all this bad publicity. Real smart of him.*” ...Show less »
