Claimant says: "I purchased a LV purse at Saks on 12/20/11. When I brought it home, I did not like the way it hung when I placed my items in it. I brought it back to the store and exchanged it for another purse. I paid an additional $85.60 which brought the total up to $1037.90. When I brought this purse home and placed my items in it, I realized the purse was too small, so I brought it back to the store 2 days later to exchange it for a larger purse. The sales person told me that I could not return it because the purse had a small stain on the purse handle. I found it odd that the sales person zeroed in immediately on the stain, which I did not even know was there. I spoke with the manager, who was very rude and condescending to me, he practically accused me of putting the stain on the purse! He told em that all purses are inspected before the customer leaves the store with the purse. This was an outright lie! The purse was never inspected in front of me, it was in a fabric bag which was placed in a shopping bag and handed to me. I took it home, and only when I realized that it was too small I decided to exchange it. I found it suspicious that the salesperson and the manager knew exactly where this particular stain was on the purse. I feel that they knowingly sold me this purse with the stain on it. I feel that shopping in a high end store such as Saks- that Saks should stand behind its products and allow me to exchange this purse for a larger purse of my choosing, of course I would pay the difference. I escalated this problem to the corporate headquarters, who also refused to allow me to exchange the purse. This was not a cheap purchase, and I complied with all their rules. I work very hard for my money, and feel that they not only ripped my off, they were rude, condescending, and made me feel like an idiot. This was wrong, and they should exchange this purse that they knowingly to me stained. All I want is what is right. They actually had me return to the store 3 times, with the same purse, and then told me to mail it to New York for evaluation. What is up with that? I tried to exchange the purse within the 30 day limit, I never used the purse, and I am trying to exchange the purse in the SAME EXACT CONDITION THEY SOLD IT TO ME. What ever happened to quality and The customer is always right. saying. I was made to feel humiliated and was treated with no respect!*” ...Show less »
