Claimant says: "I was in the process of obtaining a mortgage to refinance when it was discovered that Equifax had filed a foreclosure on my credit report with Citi financial. I contacted Citi financial and was told that there had been an error that it was not my name or my SS#. They would complete an investigation and send me a letter. Instead I received a fraud packet in the mail to complete;asking me questions about an account I never had therefore I was unable to answer the questions. The letter was sent by Joe Boccardo, I called him. He agreed that the SS# was inputted improperly and there was no need to complete a fraud report. Additionally he said he would sent the report to customer service in order for the problem to be resolved. Instead I got a letter indicating my account was paid in full. My concern was a mortgage foreclosure in my name not a paid in full account. Please note letters I have received from them have two account numbers. I need a letter stating the mortgage is not mine. I called only to find out why I received this letter and I was told that Joe Boccardo told them that I said the account was mind and I was not disputing any charges. This was untrue.*” ...Show less »
