Claimant says: "EBAY refunded a buyer's money without contacting me to get my side of the story. It so happens that the buyer was complaining unjustifiably about an item (breadmaker) that had not been received and her story regarding the timeline had major credibility issues. Due to extenuating circumstances the item was 1-2 days overdue but contact was made with the buyer and included an apology for the delay. He still refused to issue refund. Not only did EBAY refuse to issue refund, they also refused to become actively engaged in getting me my item back . This is a clear indications that EBAY knowingly and purposely acts in favor of the Buyer, in most if not all cases, whether justified or not.
It also should be illegal for a third party (in this case EBAY) to take action against a merchant account that was initiated with paypal, and to do so under false pretenses, and be more engaged in ensuring a buyer suffers no harm than it is in fair, equitable treatment for both a seller and buyer. Its was obvious that Caleb, was acting on subjective information rather than being objective and without all of the facts of the case like the fact that there was ongoing discussion this buyer regarding the status of the shipping. I told the buyer the item would be shipped on the 30th. EBAY has no guidelines that I am aware of on how soon after purchase a seller has to ship yet the moment a buyer complains about waiting too long, EBAY rushes to their defense.
Further indication of their siding with buyers is the fact that it allows buyers to post nasty, untrue, unfounded feedback but does not afford sellers the same opportunity.*” ...Show less »
