Claimant says: "i quit several weeks ago at the end of a pay period. at the first of my employment there was s span of 3 1/2 weeks where i did not receive any check. i was told the first payperiod would be held back which is normal and i said nothing. when i received my first check it was for the second two weeks id worked,the first week and a half having been held as like a deposit to be paid upon release of employment.like i said i quit at the end of a pay period...then problems...they are saying in the last two weeks i only worked 40 hrs. even,in two weeks(the pay periods are every two weeks).i picked up my check yesterday and it was for 265.27... there is no way in two weeks i only worked 40 hrs,i have a schedule at home i wrote,containing my work days and hours and it adds up to more,not to mention the first week and a half that was held back from my pay that was never seen. i need some help,the shoe show(the shoe dept.),has steadily used unagreeable tactics in their dealings with employees all the way to the commission we are susspose to earn,which is somehow always knocked down below the rate of which commission could be actually earned. i am worried about the money im still owed,i spoke with the general manager and he said the office had me taken care of before i picked up my check...have not cashed it yet...what can i do? also i am a felon,in the course of my employment i beleive a background check was done on me and id began to be treated differently that other employees...always given the worst work...and it was apparent something was going on because i was being treated differently...what can i do about that also?*” ...Show less »
