Claimant says: "In April 2010 I purchased a 1994 Mitsibishi Galant on a buy here pay here basis for $1900.00. I paid $500.00 down and $125.00 every two weeks. I have made all of my payments on time. Since I purchased this car I have had numerous major problems with it. First the wiring on starter needed rewired. I needed a new battery (they gave me a different battery it was not new only lasted two weeks I wound up buying a brand new one myself. My brakes went bad they put cheap brakes on I had to return it to them two weeks later. They said they put on new brakes again but noise did not go away. The serpantine belt was worn out they tryed to say it was just loose they tightened it but it continued to have loud sqeak. My exhaust needed replaced. They said they fixed it, but instead just put a pipe on it. When I got it home it leaked out 3 quarts of oil in driveway. I had it towed in. They said they fixed leak,Then my car started dying when I put it in reverse repeatedly stalling out every time I tryed to drive it. I towed it again. They put in a different distributer which was a used one also. Then my car stopped dying in reverse but started dying in drive acting like its in nuetral It started jerking real hard and would finally go. I took it to Aamco on S E 14th DesMoines for a diagnostic service. They said it was a wiring problem and who ever put my distributer in forced the wrong distributer (used distributer also) aamco said. They had messed up wiring. Also suspected transmission problems.Car looks like its been under water sometime as it is all rusted out more than normal for that year.. When I called TBK they said they dont deal with wiring. TBKs expects me to pay for repairs adding charges to my bill when Ive brought the car in. I have asked for a different car they wont let me have til I pay off this car. With all the repairs car still wont run right and I still owe $1202.53 according to them. This car is a lemon! It hasnt ran right from the beginning. They have fixed it with old parts from junk cars sometimes not even the same make. Yet I am still being charged. It seems I am paying out an awful lot of money for a car I cant rely on. I have a one and a half year old son I transport to sitter every day and a full time job. I have to have a car to rely on so I have finally givin up and purchased another vehicle. I plan to return the car. I feel I should be entitled to my money back and I want my name off this contract*” ...Show less »
