Alina Oprea (www.alinaoprea.com) is a civil engineer, contract (FIDIC) expert, claim expert, FIDIC adjudicator, FIDIC accreditated trainer and served as a FIDIC trainer of the Romanian Association of Consultant Engineers (www.aric.org.ro). She is on the lists of dispute boards members / adjudicators of DRBF President, FIDIC - Romanian national list of adjudicators, and FIDIC - Polish national list of adjudicators and expert engineers (past). She is adjudicator in projects located in Romania (rehabilitation of streets, rehabilitation of water treatment plant, integrated waste management center - FIDIC Red and Yellow Books) and she voluntarily offered her help as expert in AllExperts - Construction Law. She has experience in project management, procurement procedures - European Commission, international relationships, highway and bridge design. Ms. Oprea is dealing with claims, dispute and arbitration within Engineer's organizations, Contractor's organizations and within The Romanian National Company of Motorways and National Roads and used to be a design engineer for Designing Institute for Road, Water and Air Transport (IPTANA). She was a director of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (www.drb.org ) - Region 2, and is the DRBF Country Representative for Romania; she is the founder of the DRBF EurAsia Chapter of the DRBF.
Alina Oprea organized the 7th DRBF Annual International Conference in May 2007 in Bucharest, Romania, then Regional Conferences of DRBF, in Bucharest, on 30-31 October 2009, 9-11 June 2010, 6-7 October 2011, a special DRBF event for Romanian Government representatives, in 24 March 2011, and is planning further DRBF events in Romania and in the region.
Alina Oprea is a speaker in different conferences worldwide on international contracts, claims, disputes - prevention and resolution, in general, and especially about dispute boards.
