As a child I always wanted to help someone. At 28 years old I came to the conclusion that my purpose in life was to help people. I'm currently finishing up my BA in Psychology. I have always had an interest in law. My goal is to finish my BA in Psychology and go to law school and obtain a JD Law Degree.
Views on the practice of law
My views on the legal system in general is that if your client doesn't understand the issues that are happening within the legal system have you best served them? Examples would be someone in the deaf community or someone that English is not their primary language. Can translation be lost? What ends up happening could be a individual walking away feeling that they were not served justice properly because they do not understand. Another example would be if someone could not afford representation. Are they receiving the best representation?
Reason to be here
I feel that I should be considered for this internship because I have an interest in helping others that may feel no faith in the judicial system.
