Public Negotiation

PeopleClaim public mediations with co-plaintiffs are similar to class actions except they're resolved with the help of our community of conflict resolution professionals.

Public mediations with co-plaintiffs may be resolved globally — one offer to all parties — or individually via party-to-party negotiation with each separate claim.

While the goal is to help you find the shortest distance between a problem and its resolution, unresolved public mediations may be referred for formal legal represenatation and class action.

W-2

Plaintiff
Opening StatementProvided by: amelia k., Plaintiff

I have called the corporate office 5 different times and left 5 different messages for someone to return my call regarding not receiving my W-2. I have left my name, where I worked, my phone number and any other necessary information required for a call back. This is absulotely uncalled for. I started calling in early march and it is now 3 weeks away from the tax deadline and I have yet to speak to someone. This unproffesionalism is exactly why I left abuelos in the first place. At this point in time, the only thing left to do is contact the IRS to file and extension and see if they have an recommendations to move forward in receiving this. I called the abuelos restaurant and talked to a Ben, who was very rude and seemed troubled by my call. Please have someone call me back, as I will not call the restaurant again. My number is 513-849-0730. Thank you.

Maybe Abuelos, and personnel, are totally undocumented. I found past employers who never bothered with that and I was left out for unemployment and tax credits. Maybe you should call U S Customs. I read where one man here illegally paid no tax for twenty years. Where can I apply for "ILLEGAL"?

I suggest the claimant read https://www.irs.gov/uac/here-is-what-to-do-if-you-are-missing-a-w-2 which includes "If you do not receive your W-2 by February 14th, contact the IRS for assistance at 800-829-1040. " Calling them would be a good start!

As to the business, they should provide the W-2. If there is some reason they believe they cannot or should not, they should state why. If they will provide at some future date, they should state that and when that date will be. I would think they would not want the trouble that not doing any one of my suggestions will likely cause.
